Else. My Nana. My prairie grandma. Her immigrant life is the story of so many Canadians. Successful, but of two minds. A loss of language. A loss of culture. Buildings made of wood, metal, concrete and tyvek on pastures. Change.

When city meets country, when progress comes before tradition, that’s where this image will be.
